Grason Troy Chivers

Grason Troy Chivers arrived March 26, 2010 at 7:27 a.m. and weighed 8 lbs. 11.5 oz. He was a screamer from the get go, but now keeps it to a tiny wimper. As long as he is fed he's a pretty happy boy! We had a hard time keeping his sugar level regulated for the first day, but got it under control later that night. They're blaming it on undiagnosed gestational diabetes. We're pretty glad that that's all the trouble we've had with him. He's been a blessing since day one and we can't imagine our growing family without him. Brody and Shelbe have both been the best at helping Mommy with him and love him oh so much. They love to sit and hold him any chance they can.

I think it's in his blood...the whole dirt thing...he's a natural up there!

Shelbe's dance class fundraiser

Shelbe's dance class had a fundraiser the other weekend. They danced and had a bake sale. She loved getting up there with her friend "Fancy" and dancing in front of everyone.

Jayk "supervising" while on lunch break

My dad and Keith had to work on the Chevy one weekend down at Grandpa Foston's shop. Jayk took Brody down to hang out and he absolutely loved every minute of it. I couldn't even see my poor boy through all the grease and dirt when he finally came home the evening!

Playin' with Layla

Jayk's little sister Jessie has been in town for a while now. Her and Layla came over to play and enjoy the sunny day outside. The kids had a ball playing on the swing set. I think they are all just ready for summer to be here!

Poor Bro-bro

This is just a before picture to show what a difference
it has made
These are just a coupld of hours after. He was so exhausted
after crying for hours he finally just crashed.
But the bleeding didn't stop for a while, so he looked
pretty bad until it stopped.

After getting cleaned up a bit he was a little more in the
mood to show of his battle wounds

Well, we've officially had our very first tramatic experience on Monday. Brody decided to be a monkey and jump on the bed. Well, it turned out just like the old saying says it will. He hit his teeth so hard that he pushed three of them up into the bone, and twisted one sideways. His gums are black and blue, his lip and cheeck are swollen, his mouth is horribly sensitive--he can't eat anything, and his left eye is now black and blue. Now, if that's not the best lesson in "no monkey's jumping on the bed" I don't know what is.

Play time with Daddy

With Jayk's new job we don't get to see him as much as we're used to. So when he is home we take full advantage of it. Sunday the kids had a great time spending some quality time with their Dad. Brody decided he wanted to learn how to shave before church, and Shelbe wanted him to help build a snowman. (I've tried, but can't seem to bend over enough to roll the snow anymore!) The shaving went well, no deep cuts to the neck ; ) but the snow didn't want to cooperate...they only got the bottom ball and called it quits. But I think it's something that they will both remember. What a good daddy they have!

Co-Ed Cheer Dance

These are just some quick pictures of the kids at the basketball game the other night. Keith, Yaeger, and some of Jayk's cousins all did the co-ed cheer dance this year, so we had to go and show some support. It was actually a fun night. The Utes won the b-ball game and the guys did a really great job during their routine. I was really impressed with all their moves!
