Brody's 1!

Yesterday we celebrated our little boys first birthday! I can't believe it's already been a year! He's been such a blessing to our little family. His big sis just loves him! Their a great pair of kids! He's starting to walk, he says Mama and Dada and Ought Oh. Wow! How they grow!

We had a family BBQ at my mom's house. We enjoyed all the fresh new summer veggies and fruits. Brody and Malia LOVED the watermelon as you can see! That's why I love summer so much...getting together just because and enjoying some good ole food!

We went to Salt Lake about a month ago and got our new little addition to the family. His name is Diesel and he is an English Mastiff. We loved him from the very first! He's a great dog....getting HUGE, but still just wonderful. He doesn't really like to do much except chew on any ankles that happen to pass by!

Jayk got his new camera and just had to wonder around snapping at everything and anything.

1- I loved to stick things up my nose as a young child. Not the best thing to know about me, I know, but I'm grabbing whatever I've got.
2- I have absolutely no memory. Nope, can't remember a thing. . .especially when it comes to something Jayk has asked me about or to do. . .weird.
3- Being a Mommy is the BEST most WONDERFUL thing in the whole wide world!
4- My best friend Stephanie has been my best friend for twenty years now. How do we do it?!
5- I used to be a News Anchor, Mad Scientist, Arobics Instructor, Movie Star. . .the list goes on, doesn't it Steph!
6- I have a OCD. I have to check all the windows and doors in my house about four or five times before I can go to bed. I'm just paranoid.

Camping Again!

We decided to head back up to the mountain this weekend. . .just trying to escape some heat! It was great! We relaxed and caught up on everyone's doings. Oh, and one other thing, we saw a BEAR. Yep, just down from our camp! It was exciting, but a little unnerving knowing he was lurking around just down the road. We went on a 4-wheeler ride and found this great little waterfall. We enjoyed wading through the water and taking pictures. Some didn't turn out so great...the sun was just in the wrong place! Brody stayed behind and took a nap...which was great for everyone! He loves to camp just about as much as Shelbe.
